Wandering America: 250 Photos.
To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, I set a goal for this summer: to capture 250 unplanned photos by simply wandering. From exploring bike trails to finding fresh perspectives on my daily routines, my photography is about capturing the extraordinary in the routine or documenting areas that are meaningful to me.
Curiosity drives a lot of my journey. As I wander, I frequently use AI to provide instant insight into the plants, buildings, or historical landmarks I encounter. Learning the history or significance of a spot in real-time often sparks further research or even inspires me to detour to entirely new locations I never would have found otherwise.
The photos are either personally significant, a result of experimenting with camera equipment, or simply a shot of something that looked interesting. Because I shoot while wandering, my process constantly changes. When time permits, I experiment with camera settings to get the perfect shot. Some are rushed and taken on the fly due to time constraints or quickly changing light from the sun's movement.
I'm sharing only my absolute favorite glimpses of this wandering journey.
